Situated in Tung Chung, the North Lantau Hospital is the first hospital in Lantau Island. The new hospital is designed to deliver public hospital services to meet the growing demand of the population in North Lantau and to provide emergency support services to the Hong Kong International Airport and major tourist facilities in the Lantau Island. The new neighbourhood healthcare facility provides Accident & Emergency service, In-patient General Acute Care Service and Specialties Services such as Diagnostic Radiology, Specialist Outpatient Clinic (Medicine, Geriatrics & Psychiatry) and community outreach service for the local community.

The scope of the project comprises the construction of a 9-storey hospital block supported by an internal road network and a new road linking up On Tung Street and Chui Kwan Drive; and the structural and building services provisions for future connection to the next phase of development.
