Objectives and Targets

Our sustainability performance is subject to regular review which ensures we work in line with our annual sustainability objectives and targets, and allows close monitoring on our progress towards an all-round sustainable operation. In 2019, we achieved most of our targets in environmental, project quality and social issues. Details of our major achievements during the year and the targets for 2020 are tabulated below.

Reduce water consumption

  • Water taps in 100% of new projects to be Grade 2 or above
  • 50% of these projects to be Grade 1 under the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) of WSD unless there are genuine operational or technical needs for not doing so
  • All water taps in 100% of the 15 new projects are Grade 2 or above
  • 93% water taps in these projects are Grade 1

[1] - The adoption/installation of water tap with Grade 2 or above under WELS of WSD has become a general design standard in ArchSD.

[2] - This target has been replaced by another new target in 2020 that at least 75% of the new projects shall adpot MiC/DfMA design approach (e.g. packaged pump set, integrated AHU, modular cooling tower plant & pipework, etc.) for BS installation to enhance works quality.

[3] - The electricity consumption was normalised with the consideration of number of servers and number of staff.
