Our Departmental operation is funded by the Capital Works Reserve Fund which is approved, monitored and reviewed by the Legislative Council (LegCo), and the Lotteries Fund which is approved by the Director of Social Welfare.
During 2019, we have created a total of 8,982 jobs by awarding works contracts and consultancies. We commenced 19 new works and term contracts during the year.

In the financial year 2019-20, our department expenditure recorded an overall increase of around 7.75% [1] as comparing with the previous financial year in 2018-19.
